Ivy Prothro, DCNP

Ivy is a double board-certified Nurse Practitioner in Dermatology and Family Medicine with more than six years of experience in both medical and aesthetic dermatology and 12 years total in medicine. One of only two nurse practitioners in the Nashville area to earn a dermatology board certification, Ivy has expertise across the full spectrum of dermatology. Her patients praise her for her results-driven treatment plans, attention to detail, and ability to uphold their budget and goals.

Ivy’s nursing career began with six years in the neonatal intensive care unit before returning to school at Duke University to become a Family Nurse Practitioner. After a decade in Washington, DC, she relocated to Franklin, TN to be closer to family and pursue her dreams of opening up Ivy Skin Studio. With her unique qualifications and experience, Ivy goes beyond a typical aesthetics provider and brings a medical lens to all of her appointments.

Ivy lives in Franklin with her husband and two dogs. She enjoys traveling, trying new cuisines, and spending time outdoors (wearing sunscreen, of course).
